An activation that will drive talkability & earned media for S3 of Succession (launching on Sky).
Our way in:
We weren’t talking to new fans, we were talking to existing fans (& they were pretty hardcore). From researching what they loved most about the show, two interesting nuggets emerged:
Fans f*cking loved the opening title song. There were entire reddit forums dedicated to discussing its masterpiece.
They loved to speculate about who the show was really based on (from the Murdochs & more)…
So, what if we could find a way to play on these fan truth’s, adding to existing conversation & love, but finding a fun way to amplify it?
The creative idea
Pitch a live orchestra up outside of key news outlets across cities in the UK & have them play the Succession opening title song. Effectively trolling the media moguls that the show is suspected to be based on (most namely, News UK).
